Interesting view, but I'm afraid the manner of some of the defeats (today included) has coloured my view of the season.....I started off with high hopes.....it has been grim.

Am really concerned that CE has re-signed players who perform like they did today.

He deserves another chance, but the first 6 games next season will be key....

Second half was probably the worst I have seen this season. Darlington manager changed the system and they outplayed us. We couldn't even get out of our half! I actually thought we were a disgrace....no effort, no fight no pride and to think some of those wasters have signed for next season!

Absolutely gutted.

For goodness sake Craig do something!!!

I guess he would have been struggling to find decent players once the season was well underway. My concern is that he is signing players who he seems to confirm are not good enough.

The first half dozen games of next season will be the determining factor.

It's a fair point.......

My view of them was based upon the lack of challenge, avoiding tackles and a conversation with one of them when he said "this is too physical for me" or words to that effect.

I do concede that they were quality players, but it seemed to me they were not up for the fight....

Just listened to his post Blyth interview (twice!)

As always refreshingly honest and to the point.

BUT......

Why has he signed players who he is clearly saying are not good enough for this league?

I do like him and his blunt honesty, but must confess am very concerned about next season. I took solace in the fact that he was let down badly by some big names at the start of the season (and you could see none of them were prepared to get stuck in!) but why is he signing players who are patently not good enough at this level.

Of course there are exceptions, but you get my point......

Have always said that it's worth getting kids in for free.....if only 5 get hooked it's worth it. The seats would be empty anyway. No brainer really.....

Held Chorley player down after penalty save and was subsequently kicked. He had already been yellow carded, so game over. Funny how it's always him.

They battled and new fullback was excellent, but we wouldn't have scored if we had played for a month. Why leave it to 0-2 before bringing new front man on?

Middleton was man of the match until the red veil came down.....if he had stayed on the pitch might have rescued a point.

Just seen the team and amused that Margetts is out injured....perhaps he fell out of bed?

When we (me and my granddaughter) saw the team sheet, we groaned. We expect the first instinct is to try to win home games. Talking at half time to other supporters, we all agreed that basically this is a mediocre team with mid table written all over it and to expect an exhilarating performance against superior opposition is unrealistic. The time to judge CE will be after half a dozen games of next season. To be fair we all thought his initial signings were inspired, but we were all disappointed. The only slight niggle is that we have signed players for next season who are of dubious quality (Abbott and Thanoj). Hey ho let's see how we go. After fighting hard for the lead we should have held on, but George was being constantly fouled by the 9 and 10 all afternoon. Looking forward to seeing Stockport on Tuesday.

I must say I agree with Kon.....am surprised with a couple of the signings. Craig sounded very p****d off in his interview.
