BUFC have been awarded a £250,000 grant for the new ground. It comes from the Football Foundation (FSIF).
If the piling has already been completed, there should be enough to do pile caps, ground beams, drainage and general groundworks. 8)

It's good news but I'm surprised we've had to wait so long for a fairly modest sum like that.

Great news! Stadium should be completed by Easter now.
-
Easter 2030 maybe ;)

Make your own minds up looks pretty positive to me, I am sure some from afar (or maybe not so far now) will put a different spin on things. 🍷🍷

Which will happen first Brexit or a new stand?
-
Nice to have positive news though!
-
Sounds very familiar! "The new stadium - which would be part of a £100m project including housing, commercial properties, restaurants and a sportshall as well as infrastructure - was originally estimated to cost £8.5m, but that figure has risen to approximately £11.5m due mainly to rises in the price of steel and concrete". Jon are you still pulling the strings from your African gold mine?

Didn’t have to wait too long😂

Skip to 35th minute if you don't want to listen to the Lincoln City talk before the David Newton interview

Very positive from DN. Sounds like funding is coming together. Stadium might feel like a long time coming but we can't underestimate the size of the task this is. £11 million to build a new stadium when the club has no money or assets.

Thanks,, just listened to it and things sound very positive.

So true, we all have to accept this & be thankful the chestnuts got involved.

Gullibility alert chaps! Was not the planning permission given based on the fact that a new stadium wuld be built and funded by the lovely Chestnuts? Come on now!

No. You’re the gullible one if you think the permission was granted on that basis old sport, chin chin

If it wasn't for the Chestnuts, there would be no Boston Utd and I should imagine York Street would no longer be a football ground.

Hope the accounts are being kept properly.

Think you're getting BUFC and Northampton Town mixed up there, old chap.

Please explain how this article is even relevant to our club, David Newton has explained in great detail what is currently going on with the building of the stadium.
I feel that you are truly wanting to stir up speculation and rumours that are simply not there.
Maybe it's because you want to stay at York Street, or just simply a person who loves to wallow in the failure of others.
Yes you are entitled to your opinions as everyone else, but l would suggest that you give David Newton some credit for the work and money that has been spent so far on our club and the new stadium.
Most people wouldn't have even bothered to do half of what he had done.
Be positive and will find that will help you through your dark depression of finding negativity in where it doesn't exist.

Can't see anything in the decision notice about that.

Crikey! That is quite an oversight! If I were Dave Newton, I should be thinking why should I spend my profits on a stadium when I can have a nice retirement as a Lincoln City season ticket holder?

Then he wouldn't have any profits.
Planning permission was granted providing a new stadium was built.
You have spent too long in France.

What happens if no stadium is built? Does the newly built houses get demolished.

What happens if you start to look on the positive side for a change? The Stadium will be built so let's stop this continual negativity!

If planning permission is granted with a condition that the stadium has to be but, and Chestnut Homes don't fulfill that condition, then I would assume planning permission has failed. So they could be ordered to demolish the houses.
Either that or a large fine imposed and their reputation in shreds.

I have an idea why don’t the people who think the stadium won’t be built man up and request a meeting with Mr Newton instead of trolling on here? I won’t old my breath :police:

Because Tash they are the type of people who cannot put their case forward in any sensible way and just hope others will join them in trying to bring the club to it's knees.

I had forgotten completely how easy is was to wind up the yokels! God bless you all xx
And Melvin I will double whatever is in your copper collection if the stadium is ever built. Back stop of 10 years mind.

Hope you have printed the above off Melvin. What a generous offer from a long standing BUFC supporter.

Thanks Scouse Pilgrim. Probably be able to buy a set of goalposts by then?
