Agreed, well done. Strange what a bit of pace up front can do.
Just heard DG on the radio. Perhaps the biggest lesson he can learne is to get a first team together before the bloody season starts, perhaps we might stand a chance of a cup run and earn some money.
Must repeat though, well done to the players, a good 3 points
A good lesson in yesterdays match on quick fix team building .
Telford last mid-season did what a few of our "fans" would endorse i.e sack the manager . The outcome was relegation .
Close season the new manager quickly made new signings like above poster as advocated Greene should have done , this spelt disaster and yet another manager had to go .
The contrast yesterday was clear , Greene sticking to the basis of a very good team from last season appears to be close to a play-off push with-out busting the budget by making shrewd signings when the chances arise , no panic signings .
The now Telford manager inherited 17 contracted rash signings who had got hardly any points on the board . Credit to him he appears to be getting the poor signings unloaded and the team turned round .
This will be costly and they appear to have too much gound to make up io challange the play-offs .
Like in any walk of life the quick fix is usually a disaster .
