Always thought that he was better than he seemed to be recognised for.
Good old fashioned centre forward. Won most balls that were hoofed up to him and tied up the centre halves. Did the physical work and made the gaps for the ball players. Not everyones cup of tea but that was his game. Ended up as top scorer too (although the total wasn't that impressive that season)
Also seemed a thorough professional, along with his team mates at the time, right through to the bitter end under very difficult conditions.
