Thought when we got the ball down and played to feet we looked the best team, was disappointed with SC and their long ball in the first half but second half we looked like scoring with every attack.Good to see both full backs being given licence to roam second half too which stiffled SC a lot..

Fully deserved the 3 points even though the ref seemed intent on giving SC all the help he could..

SWD had their defence shitting bricks every time the ball went to him,he had three men around him a lot of the time but still managed to find a team mate and even though he was fouled twice he still managed to score..

brilliant performance. Spence made a big difference when he came on, hope hes fit enough for a start tomorow night! Defence started out a bit shaky but once they got into the game played well. Newsh was on uns form and is showing what we know he is capable of doing. There was a decent atmosphere too and i thoroughly enjoyed the game. For those of us that are still going we are being treated to better entertainment than what we had to endure pre christmas. Looking forward to tomorows game. UTP

Deserved win yesterday. The game was similar to at theirs, they used the long ball over the top to utilise Marsh's pace, problem is that now Jennings has gone, who had a similar abundance of pace, you keep Marsh quiet you keep Stalybridge quiet.

We didn't pass the ball around quite as good as we have been but still played the better football. Their goal came totally against the run of play and was a long ball over to Marsh  ::) who put in a good cross and left an easy finish. This was when they had a sustained spell of possession and put us under a bit of pressure but was the only time in the game we look vulnerable.

Second half we played really well and agree that SWD made a massive difference when he came on. For me motm was Ian Ross who ran midfield.

I await CelticBlue coming on here to tell us how poor we where and how much Stalybridge dominated the game like last time  ::)
