Photographs - Gainsborough vs Boston
« on: February 04, 2013, 12:40:59 AM »
Well that was a great game yesterday. Gotta love the local derbies! Goals, Fans in great voice and Ex players galore.

Here are a few highlights from the game.

1. Ben Milnes fires Boston into a 1 - 0 lead.

2. Milnes Celebrates.

3. Fans share their delight with the team.

4. Danny Hone fires past Dan Haystead to make the game 1 - 1

4. Gainsborough Celebrate

5. Back to haunt Boston - Jamie Yates celebrates his goal.

6. And finally..... Money, Money, Money.....

All 86 photographs can be found at:- http://www.davidshipman.co.uk/gainsborough-trinity-boston-united/ .

Safe to say this game went a but better than the game at Altrincham for me as I lost the memory card with all the photos on! Probably not a bad thing though given the score!

As always your comments are appreciate.

Cheers

David

I think you'll find that Pilgrims' Patter has broken your mobile.  ;D

Another great set of photos. I must get myself one of those big white Canon lenses.

My set is here - nothing near your standard, but a couple of half decent shots:

I've bunged a few on my website as well: http://www.bufc.drfox.org.uk/gainsboroughtrinity020213.html

Shame about the lost memory card at Alty - they're quite expensive things to lose, never mind the lost photos.

The money thing has kept me smiling most of the weekend.  When Milnes scored out of the blue there was a shower of paper notes, not just a few like the year before, I think most of us had fake money of some kind as the terrace and corner of the pitch was littered with it.  There must be an ebay spike up in Monopoly sales around the time of Gainsborough away.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Thanks Ken. You can also try my 70-200 one game. As my second camera is pretty much dead I don't tend to use it at the moment! The memory card is just one of them things.... Started using SD cards now. Got a top end one for under 20 quid, so much faster!

Nice to see your photos again, top stuff!

This photo has gone down well, one of my faves as well :)
