Post by: rawlings09 on July 31, 2010, 10:02:11 AM
Hi there! Redditch United fan here. First of all, Congratulations on winning promotion to the Blue Square Bet North! Great Achievement! I'm here to inform Boston United fans of our Project '777' campaign, basically, on saturday the 21st, we are trying to achieve an attendance of 777 at The Valley Stadium, Redditch against Boston United. How many fans are you going to bring to this game? Comments Welcome. :)

The redditch united supporters trust would like to invite Boston fans to food before the game! You're going to bring more than half of our target? That would be fantastic!!!

Think half may be a little optimistic. Last time we played you I'd guess we had somewhere between 100-150. It's our first Satdee away which should add a few, will depend on how we get on in our first 2 games. If we win both and the weather is good I'd guess at 250 really can't see any more than that but would be happy to be proved wrong. I'll be there like last time so that's 1 definite.

Our early challenges should  be from Corby .Hinckley.Eastwood  and Alfreton .
With the present squad I would  be surprised if we make the play-offs . . and disappointed  if we finish below half-way .

I hope you do well in your opening fixtures!
Last time we tried a project "500" on a gloomy bank holiday monday and got 428... which was our highest attendance of last season :-[
But we're advertising it around redditch and it should be a great day for both sets of fans!
I hear you Boston fans sing too? am i correct? ;)

Who do you have in your opening games?

We have Stalybride away and Alfreton at home! And Telford in the same month, nothing like a nice opening to the new season!  ;)

Whoops sorry, I thought that didn't look right.  :-[  I must have caught the same bad spelling bug that affects some of the other posters on here from time to time.

But that was because we had kettering in the F.A Cup, ;).
