Let's sack the manager... That'll fix everything!

No need for that drastic step just yet - although if he continues to put Chapman in the team Chapman will be the cause of his sacking.
Unless results start to improve - home attendances will start to suffer - if they haven't already done so.

It's Murray's team - so he is responsible for the way the team play.  If the captain on the pitch cannot be bothered he should be replaced.

Nah I'm just playing, the sarcasm doesn't come across well over the internet haha!

For a corner you need all the height in the box that's a given, that means no Cowgill, Keane or Beatson and then add in Clifton taking the corner he is pretty much the only one left available to give us pace at the back to stop a counter

Yeah I didn't get that either, if we we're playing sh*t and losing fair enough but we were playing alright

His first goal was sublime, cut inside and hit the top corner.

Don't get me wrong we should have won by more because they weren't very good in all honesty and we should have been more clinical when on top but to keep fighting with ten men on a wet pitch was a huge positive.

Wow, what a game. Fought til the end, everybody had a good game tonight and we seemed to play the ball about with confidence. Vince gave the ref a decision to make on a soaking pitch and it looked like a bad one from our side.

The defence looked assured and their goal should have been avoided but there was an element of luck around it.

Midfield kept the ball and played some fantastic balls through and over their defenders. What a pickup Broadhead is too, looks a really solid player.

The forwards put in one hell of a shift as well, harrassing and pressuring and to top it off Rollins scored two cracking goals.

Credit to Murray the 3 at the back looked good tonight and bringing on Hawley gave us a bit more up front, he had some good moments of interplay with Rollins.

Motm was difficult for me tonight; Rollins, Broadhead and Clifton were the stand outs. Chapman had a solid game too, played some really good stuff.

I only use Harrogate as someone else mentioned them in terms of stability and then not getting anywhere, the fact that there are so few points between the majority of teams means it shouldn't take much to get back towards the top end of the table. The key words stability, patience and time.

We can see things need to improve. So can the manager and there's nobody on here more qualified to judge, decipher and figure out what to do than him. So lets let him do it. You can make statistics say whatever you want, as Josh's post shows. I don't care what he's said in the past I just want to see progression and improvement and from the reports of Sat there was an element of it. There are 5 points separating 7th and 20th... And coming back to stability and sticking with a manager for five years, Harrogate aren't doing too badly this year are they?

Agree with youngchubby! Whilst I am not happy with the quality of football screaming at the players every time something goes wrong will not help.  There is a reason why these players appear fearful on the ball and treat it as a curse or hot potato.  The players need an environment to feel they can try things and keep the ball of the deck.

There are a couple on the Spayne Road end that shout all the time,  in particular screaming 'move' randomly and swearing at players! I don't know what they think they are achieving by doing this, we all play a part in success, the manager is not solely to blame...we have to accept our part of the blame for poor home form.

I don't rate Chapman but shouting at him every time he moves, sneezes or coughs is terrible...

Attitude and nervousness from the fans transfers to the pitch. These are conference north players not multi millionaires and we must allow them space to be able to play football.

Spot on. If you do say anything to them you get threatened too, that's always nice when you go to a game of football isn't it!

This club needs and has needed for a while now some stability and a shift in the ethos, we've collectively got to be patient with it. The players and management already know there is pressure on them, let's not add more because as it stands we are unequivocally hindering their progression both as individuals and as a team.

Everyone in the ground yesterday would say it wasn't good enough but let's push them on and get behind them! Who's to say getting rid of this manager and getting in someone else will help? Who's to say the work being put in now is the foundation of something better in the coming weeks, months and years? Nobody knows, it may work or it may not, keep the faith and lets back the team and see where it takes us, if we're in a precarious position later in the season then that's the time to consider change, not now.

Does it not occur to people that shouting stuff like that at a player will in all likelihood make them play worse? Every touch and every decision they'll second guess. We are there to push he players on, not hold them back. It's a self fulfilling prophecy - make mistake, get shouted with no end of abuse, play worse, get shouted at more.
