Become a professional footballer
« on: April 02, 2012, 01:36:40 PM »
I know this may not apply to many people on here, but you may know someone who would be interested in the club's excellent college course, so please pass it on!

Boston United are once again offering young footballers from around the country the chance to become a full time footballer, as well as achieving excellent Sporting Qualifications, within a structure reminiscent to a football Apprenticeship Scheme.

Boston United, partnered with Boston College, are very proud to have established a structure where students will benefit from a full-time sporting environment at Boston United’s Jakemans Stadium. Trainee's will receive professional coaching with the full time coaches & gain a level 2 or 3 BTEC Sports qualification as well as NVQ level Exercise and Fitness and FA Level One and Two Coaching Awards, over a period of two years.

Boston United’s Under 18 Youth Team play in the both the Football Conference Youth Alliance League, along with teams such as B'ham City, Fleetwood, FC United, Mansfield Town, Tamworth, Ilkeston & Gateshead as well as many other quality non league teams up and down the country and not forgetting the FA Youth Cup in which they had a great run this season reaching the Third Round defeating League clubs Burton Albion and Bradford City on the way.

Players will have a minimum of 12 hours football training / match time each week. Working with ex-Professional Footballers as well as working closely with the Football Association on a regular basis.

Players have the opportunity to play for Boston United at every level, including, Reserve and First Team level following the example of James Reed, Lewis Sturman, Andy Hewitt, Charlie Sanders and Jordan Nuttell this season.

We are holding trials this coming Wednesday 11th April, meeting at our Jakemans Stadium at 2.30pm and again on Saturday 21st April at RAF Cranwell near Sleaford, Lincolnshire, meeting at 10.30am

If you are a highly driven and motivated 16 or 17 year old on or before 31st August, have the qualifications to meet our entry requirements, and have a high level of footballing ability, this could be a fantastic, unique footballing experience for you.
