The B-Ark / FA Cup programme
« on: September 23, 2015, 12:39:28 PM »
oston United have been drawn away at Gainsborough Trinity in the 2nd Qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday 26th September.

The two sides have met three times before in the FA Cup and Boston have come out on top on all three occasions. The first was in 1958/9 when two replays were required before Boston progressed following a 3-1 win at Gainsborough with Tommy Lowder and Arthur Hukin(2) getting the Boston goals. Next was in 1978/9 when Boston won 3-0 at York Street in the 3rd Qualifying Round with Dave Adamson(2) and Jim Kabia scoring for the Pilgrims. The most recent FA Cup game was in 1986/7[/u]]=http://www.bufc.drfox.org.uk/seas86.html1986/7 when Boston thrashed Gainsborough 6-0 at York Street in the 4th Qualifying Round with Paul Hooks, Greg Fee(2), Warren Ward(2) and Brian Thomson getting the goals.

Hi all, does anyone have a "spare" copy of the 86/87 FA Cup programme v Trinity for my collection?

Please contact me via turnstilesuk@hotmail.com

Many thanks for looking, Feelinblue.

Only 2 weeks off the Cup starting for us. Lets at least wait to see if we have a dream run or early banana skin nightmare before the question is asked.

Spare a thought for poor old Bournemouth :-X

13 years ago they were visiting York Street on opening day, and now they have to make do with FA Cup finalists Aston Villa.

FC United promoted tonight, but we won't be playing them next season...

Why?? going somewhere ;)

It's a fine line between confidence and arrogance ;D

Ray and Eileen Trew let 19 million be spent by Robwell at Notts over 5 years.   No improvement ! Peter Swann must be mad.

As proved by the appointment of Brian Little and continued votes of confidence ::)

Seems clear to me that stevie blue has had one too many sherberts in the blues bar.  It will be a good result if they only concede as many as last year?
;D To many miles between the blues club and me :D But I do like sherberts!

Stevie Blue, what are you doing on this forum? does Matron know ;D

I think we might just pull off a surprise.....and only let 4 in haha. UTB

I would Tash, they pay you to leave when they find out how crap you are at the job, that wouldn't be long in my case.

Brian Little has made a good career out of it ;D

It's good to have ambition. I get the impression though that In DGs opinion Southwell thinks he better than he really is. Perhaps Lincoln City could start a rebuild with him, they may have to sell a lot of their players to pay off the bank. Oh how the mighty have fallen, and keep falling.

They would have to sell all the squad and part of the Cathedral to pay off what they "reportedly" owe? No players of any sell on value at the Imps :-\

Brilliant gesture, well done to all involved. Although I do not know Ernie personally, I have stood very close on many occasions on the terrace of the old Caldicott stand, and admired the man and how he went about his work. His teams gave me a great amount of pleasure and pride. I look forward to Saturday even more now  :)

16 goals for us before Christmas is a great return. I think he could do a job for us again he just made a terrible move to trinity.

Very true....never performed in a Blue shirt.....not as good a striker as Mettam, who got moved onto Worksop and is still banging them in.
Housham rated him as an "impact" player (Metts) yet moved for Jones who never made any kind of impact :(
