Leamington just announced they are streaming their home cup tie on Saturday so should think they will also stream their match against us on Tuesday.

Good to see clubs are streaming, won't ake a huge amount but should be able to to make some profit from it to keep the clubs going rather than just relying on handouts. If 300 fans pay £10 per match to stream, £3000 (maybe around £2500 after expenses if done in a cheap way but could still provide a decent viewing experience with just 1 camera angle) which is a lot less than normal matchday revenue but all helps.

I agree Lee.  I think Boston will be missing a trick if they do not bring in some kind of PPV.

The operators of the normal video camera that record the full match for thr highlights (and for performance analysis) have suggested that the Northolme doesn't have the necessary Internet connection speed to allow live streaming of a good quailty picture.

I imagine it's something the club will look into, in time for our first "home" league game.

After the FA Youth Cup win over West Bridgford, chris b posted a link to the goals on twitter. They were filmed using something called a Sportsmast. Never heard of the company, but thought the picture quality amazing. It basically looked like a 6m pole on a tripod with camera mounted at top and a ground based cameraman operating controls through an eyelevel viewfinder. Surely a lot cheaper (and quicker)to organise than gantry & tv camera?  Are they commonly used to film sports events or are they something new?

I think being classed elite is beneficial overall. If we weren't we could be stuck playing in front of 600 fans at home, trying to pay for a squad assembled presumably for gates of double that.

Hopefully the government support will replace the necessary gate income, and all being well, we can at least watch the league games via some sort of streaming set up.
Let's hope we can get something sorted with streaming.
Be a real shame not to be able to watch this team play.
Without putting the mockers on it, l think this squad is a top 2 this season.

I imagine they will become more popular. They don't offer live-streaming though. Video quality of recorded matches isn't an issue, the current ones do it absoutely fine.

As you say hopefully will have the internet infrastructure in place to make streaming easier at new stadium

Yeah I saw Russell's tweet about needing good wifi with good internet connection, needing 8mbps upload internet speed for 1080 (HD tv quality) picture quality. Mobile coverage checker shows good 4G coverage at Northolme (DN21 2QW) which should be enough for a 480p picture quality (which is what non HD TV channels are broadcast in), which may be a solution.

Is the next round (3rd Preliminary) still regionalised?
If so, could it be Peterborough Sports, Ilkeston, Kettering, Alfreton, Matlock, Cambridge City, Brackley or Bury Town?
40 matches with £5,625 for the winners and £1,875 for the losers.

The first non-regionalised round is the 1st round proper, I believe

Last season we couldn't get a home tie - this season, when we can't attend, we're first out of the hat!!

Hardly regional with Hemel Hempstead having a 280 miles round trip on a Tuesday evening but it may compensate for us having a home draw but still having to play it away (Gainsborough) again. Am assuming the date is Tues October 13 as per FA Website.
