It must be a long to since we last kept 2 clean sheets in a row before today.

Trying not to get too carried away after these two results.

A master stroke playing stainfield were he did.
sounds like haystead and his back 4 were up for it,and it worked for the rest of the team.
A brillant effort by all.

If there was ever a salute to a previous manger we have just witnessed it...how many clean sheets under Drury...one I think in 13 games now two on the spin.

Stains played holding midfield acc to Craig ..seems to have done well .
Took me back to the away game at FC UTd  (aug 2009 ? ) where that Gains loanee matt Austin did the same.
      We won that 2-1

Just imagine how different things may have been if Greene had been appointed in the first place.

Patter wouldn't have been clogged up with biased newbies like AGL and Shauneyg for starters..... :P

Players seem to have confidence in each other again, digging deep when in trouble to help each other out, and allowing strikers the chance to have a go! Well done so far, keep it up

It sounded a bit like the wins we used to get under Rob & Paul, going away to a tricky, top 5 side and getting the 3 points after soaking up a lot of pressure. I don't know how many games we've won away against top 5 opponents since the boys left but I bet its no more than a couple.

As starts go its as good as its going to get.

Maybe the Boston back up staff are giving good input  ..
You have to nip attacks in the bud , mop up the high central balls , and take pressure off the backline .
If Stains distribution is good ( or mediocre even ! ) that could be his position  .

As we all knew, this is a decent group of players that needed playing in position and a bit of a morale boost. well done to all involved, great result today.

Yes Andy ..R&P were tactically astute in that (and other) game (S) .
                             Their 1st league game ?
Mind you ..DD was never as mobile as he was at the 'Stade de Gigg ' !

A very good performance against a powerful Brackley side. Reminded me a bit of the win away at Halifax earlier in the season.

Rode our luck at times but grew in confidence as the game went on and defended well. We looked particularly dangerous on the break. I don't think any one player really stood out as it was a good all round team performance but Stainfield put in an effective shift in a holding midfield role, considering he doesn't usually play there.

Nice to see a composed manager that didn't rant or rave all game - at either the players or the officials.

Was funny watching Billy Turley in the Brackley goal geting more and more stressed as the game went on :)
