-
thanks again, maybe i should go shopping every saturday!
-
yep a really good strong win well done to the lads.mind you,not wanting to sound negative, but we really do need to keep winning to make the play offs.it would be interesting to bpa go on a bad run
-
Play offs are starting to become a big realistic veiw now 9 pts clear of 5th place. i know its still early but 9pts is a good gap at this point of the season.
We got one concearn though, am i the only one to notice but seems our freinds from fcum have started to plot there own play off ambitions. in recent weeks they have cut the gap to 8 pts and are slowly crawling up the table. not to forget they have a couple of games in hand over most at the top
-
Good result today. All we can do is try to win our games and keep the pressure on our rivals.
-
Never thought this League would be as competitive as it is . !

Also noticed Whitby making a strong run.

Was a scrappy and somewhat uninspiring game, this was mostly down to the poor state of the pitch. First half was pretty even with Ashton hitting the post early and having a couple of other decent chances, they also looked very dangerous from set pieces and specifically corners. We also had our moments with Wier-Daley firing straight at the keeper from inside the 6 yard box when you'd put money on him to score.
Second half strangely I thought they where the better side. Again getting lot's of joy from set pieces and also getting good crosses in from both flanks. However it was us that got the goals, the first looked suspiciously like a foul by DD but given the fact we had a valid goal ruled out a couple of weeks ago against Kendal it's swings and roundabouts.
Was the usual physical encounter with the ref letting a lot of challenges go that other refs would blow for. Similar to Buxton we grafted and battled well but our overall performance wasn't good. Still results are king and if the boys can get another 12 results like today I couldn't care less what sort of performance they put in.

Get out of my pub! :bunny

Looking at the first picture makes me think our shirts look better tucked into the shorts. If they are left out they resemble nappies and are not aesthetically pleasing. How about a club shirt with a black and amber tie down the front and embroidered cufflinks on the sleaves, after all, as well as being the best behaved team in the league we could also have the best dressed team in the league. ;D ;D
-
The Ashton pies were nice better than York Streets, cheaper too..
-
Great result lads, well done. keep it going.

Some more pix from an alleged "neutral" at

(Note from teacher - I must do better)
-
Defo not a neutral but feel free to see the game through an Ashton lens too...
