"To be on the same touchline as Alex Ferguson is simply unbelievable."

And there's me thinking he was on such personal terms that he was round there most weekends. I'm sure he's told us that in the past.

I hope Ferguson counts his fingers and checks for his watch and rings after shaking hands with the chosen one. I was told the Nathan Abbey thing had something to do with him selling insurance, wasnt he helping a member of the family out with an endowement of some sort.

Maths is not exactly Evans' strong point is it?

It has to be squeaky clean, and seen to be, not just because of Crawley’s history but also because of the history of manager Steve Evans, who received a one-year suspended jail sentence in 2006 for his part in a tax fraud conspiracy when he was manager of Boston United in 2002.

Evans, understandably, was not keen on ancient history being raked up. “It was 10 years ago. I said sorry then, I’m not going to say sorry again,” he said, when I suggested rival fans had long memories. “I don’t think somebody who made a mistake 10 years ago, and who’s learned from it and moved on, should have it brought up 10 years later.”

The headline is a typo, it should have read 'STEVE'S ALL FRIED UP' .

It's well overdue but you can't cheat Karma.

Bit of a joke that, I recon I could rack up a few MOM awards if I'd spent that much in a division that doesn't have any money at all in it.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Crawley profit for one game: £247,500 live TV fee plus half the Old Trafford gate (no FA deductions for a non-league club). He'll be bidding for Torres next!
