It’s not over until it’s over ( I don’t think you can say ‘until the fat lady sings’ anymore) and I hope we can avoid relegation.But……. If the unspeakable happens what league do we drop into?

Northern Premier League

Total distance to away games 2876 miles
Average 131 miles
18/22 over 100 miles
Three furthest - Lancaster City 183, South Shields 186, Morpeth 201

Southern Premier Central League

Total distance to away games 2075 miles
Average 94 miles
8/22 over 100 miles
Three furthest - Redditch 128, Bromsgrove 129, Stourbridge 139

SPC League 40% less travelling
Wider area of players to draw from?

Thoughts?

I can’t even think about it. I remember what it was like the last time. If you think the refs and assistants are bad now! You can really feel the difference so, respectfully, I refuse to even go there…😩

We are right on the border: Basford & Ilkeston are north of Boston and in the Southern League, whereas Stafford Rangers is the opposite. But I suspect we'd be in the Southern League. If the current bottom four go down then it would make sense for the FA to put ourselves and Telford there, and Blyth and Farsley in the NPL, to avoid having to move Step 3 club(s) sideways.

But, yes, let's hope it doesn't come to that!
