Full marks, sound like we deserved it and put in a hell of a shift today with a lot of credit been given from both sides of the pitch, good to see us bossing the games we win and full marks to Den and the team, Now we still have some massive games to come and its time for the support us to back us and turn up in numbers

Don't this team drive you round the twist, last few weeks some garbage displays then last week pleasantly surprise us at Tamworth, today wonderful free flowing football bringing us two first class goals and an all round performance everyone can be proud of. Talking to one of their coaches at half time he said the best display first half of any team to visit them and feels we are a shoe in for the play offs. A great atmosphere from the start with I would guess some 250 plus Boston fans among the crowd of 3500 plus. Not going to pick out anyone in particular every one of the boys gave it their all but it really does appear they are again believing anything is now possible. I have to say that I would never thought i would see Kaine at center forward but in the last two games I congratulate Dennis on hitting on a winning formula. All I now want to see is 2000 plus at Saturdays game against Bradford giving the lads the support they have earned.  UTP.

Surely we could collectively provide the imps with a cracking reference for Mr gainsboro Housham?
They'd be about right for each other, both crap with little ambition.

I'm not a fan on estimating what attendance numbers should be, hence why i asked how many went today. 2000 next week for instance, going up from an average all season of around 1250 ? To be honest, we will be lucky if we get 1400 !Previous to today, i noted numbers of we should be taking 300 easy to FC was quoted. But apart from play off games, we do not take that amount away unless its the trip to Gainsborough. In fact, 300 would be around a 1/4 of the home attendance, not sure if any team takes 1/4 of their total home attendance away at this level, or above.  I am just pleased we have a good group of fans who go away and at least number 100+

LB Just what is your problem? you asked how many BUFC supporters were in attendance? I tried to answer that in my post and you clearly don't agree with my estimate of 250 plus. This was not a stab in the dark it is based upon the OFFICIAL figure of 180 plus at Tamworth on Monday and clearly today it was well in excess of that but as there was no segregation there are no official numbers. You then go on to ridicule the chance of 2000 on Saturday, may I remind you that was what I wanted to see. Tell you what mate try attending all the games and decide for yourself but don't rubbish me when I am trying to be helpful.

Where is the problem ? Where have a said i didn't agree with 250 ish ? Never had an issue with your estimate. I am merely pointing out about numbers quoted before any game saying we as a club should be getting blah de blah, mostly vastly over quoted, before the forthcoming match.

Forgetting the great result, I have to say well done to FCUM. What a set up, from the great stewarding around the ground and the huge social club offering food (on a plate with a knife and fork) and beer at very cheap prices and loads of staff which meant swift service and for them increased revenue.

The atmosphere in the stand, similar to the town end was fantastic with both sets of fans giving their all. At half time went under the stand to their bottle bar and saw something I have only seen at Premier Clubs hundreds of fans who were their just for a beer (like a social club) singing and chanting and take the pxxs out of us few Boston Fans in their at the time, what a laugh and all in good spirit.

After the game in the social club some more singing and chanting and humour all well received. When we left so many hand shakes and best wishes it was like leaving a mates birthday party. Great day great place and people.Well done FCUM.    Nearly forgot great result.

This in reply to a lad who has slept in a f-ing railway station waiting room to follow his team!  I don't get angry about much, let's face it its football not life and death.  But seriously having a pop at your own supporters and comparing them to FC United, who were chucking coins at our guys on Saturday (let's not forget) for having the bare faced cheek to stand where they liked at an unsegregated match.

I come on this forum to give my opinions about how the team is performing and as I am fortunate enough to attend most away games give a little report on the game for those who are unable to travel for whatever reason. The manager approached me a few weeks ago as I have already said and asked me to tone down my criticism as "it upsets the players", fair enough I have done that and have thought about what I say before typing. What the manager tweeted was disgusting and "upsetting to fans"  is it not time he practiced what he preaches?.

Did he "slag" the fans off?
Seems to me that he complimented FC fans....at 3000 + a game and getting a club up and running they deserve praise.
If The Chestnuts hadn't come in and saved the club Boston would not be playing FC!
There's no way we could or would have done what they've achieved...
They've had they're ups and downs but persist....
We had 4 bad results (and I'm not condoning poor performances)  on the spin and the boo boys were out .
The FC fans just appear to "support" their team and not look for every opportunity to criticise the players and staff

Difficult one this ,   oxo is right, lets hope Dennis reflects and refrains from such comments ,  the abuse he receives comes from a very small minority .  I don,t do F/b or twitter ,in  fairness  to Greene it has to be said  some of the comments directed at his professional skills have been very questionable on Patter ,   don,t think some managers would be as tolerant  as him .

What exactly do these fans want ?
Is it a manager with real PR skills like  Tommy Taylor but no team building skills ?
Maybe on reflection they will tolerate a few losses and accept DG with his rough edges .
Or would they prefer say the return of Rob Scott ?......... oh dear I don,t think that would work , without Paul,s diplomacy to guide him I think he would be even more unpopular with the anti,s than Green .   And maybe not produce as good results .

As a few posters have suggested lets be careful what we wish for .

I just feel sorry for him (and players and managers in general)  and the Queen.
We can say whatever we like about them and use what ever vitriolic language we like and they are supposed to say absolutely nothing...just take it on the chin....any retort is met with venom.
I've no doubt the comment wasn't aimed at every Boston supporter but there are a few who make a lot of noise with filthy mouths who maybe ought to consider their words before they speak.
I will agree that players and managers should steer clear ....well clear of Twitter.

Respectfully disagree GHM.  What do I want?  Simple, a football club a) that exists b) that I can be proud to support.

Be careful what you wish for?  We have been down that blind road before let's not forget, Dennis is making a fool of himself with his conduct (not just the social media outbursts) and has been given another chance by an owner that deserves more respect.  If it's all about the 3 points and to damn with the rest of it we know where that leads.

And to be 100% clear the message he left was on Facebook, only shared later on Twitter by a supporter, I don't do Facebook so only saw it then. He needs to stop posting such comments on any social media.

What do I want ?   first and foremost a football club that is successful and well run .

Due solely to Chestnuts we have our football club . Supporters too should show their respect by behaving in a more orderly manner and not bring disrespect to the club .  Certainly some supporters are bringing shame to the club .
Its no excuse for Greene but lets be fair would many have stood for some of the vile spewed out on Gr eene ?
Some appears clearly a personal thing and not related to his football decisions . Hence my objections for some posts on Patter . Like you I do not do F/B so cannot comment on what was said on there , but on football team management Greene will certainly be very difficult to replace .

Who would be a football club owner/chairman .?

I agree wholeheartedly with you about the filthy mouth brigade they do sometimes embarrass the club if I have something to say to the manager or anyone else I will approach them personally and not scream demented comments for all to hear. I just feel the manager needs to be above it all and be professional no matter what his personal feelings are, and yes I do not think he aimed his comment at all supporters however, He really should refrain from ill thought out comments which gives ammunition to some. The comment has been jumped upon by supporters of other clubs and does nothing for the good name of our club.

Great result by bunny and the players! Sooner the comedian leaves the better! Disgraceful to slag fans on social media! Enough is enough time to leave !

Although the balance should be equally addressed as to when some fans made personal remarks pre the whole knobheadgate saga, which triggered everything off, so that's equally as disgraceful.  Personally, any manager should not be on social media fans forums full stop, as it makes them an easy target for the wannabe know it all terrace managers, who, still to this day have not come up with a suitable replacement, or not told us what this budget is which they seemingly know all about ! We all get passionate on forums, after all, i suspect we all want the best for our club. But its how we go about this passion that makes so many of us different.

I'm not defending Den in any way, but equally, to again address the balance, i am not going to defend these few fans who started the whole nastiness off either !  But i will offer them kindly, a hand carved wooden spoon  ::)

Time we all moved on, and got behind this team to reach the play offs. Then see what the summer brings.

Come on Pete some of them deserved criticism for some of their performances, I was critical of a couple of players and challenged them to prove me wrong, I am overjoyed that they have and whether this was anything to do with my challenge I don't know (probably not) but I have praised them on here for their recent improvement. I too want us now to move on give the team our wholehearted support to the end of the season. Let us all also remember that all the comments on here and other forums by our fans total about thirty and that number out of a total of some 1200 supporters is a very small minority.  UTP.

Whilst I'm not DG biggest fan for football reasons in terms of the turnover of players I think his comment was taken out of context.  FCUM fans were class in all areas the sports bar where they sang songs in unison before the game to the stands and bar under the stand at half time they were as one.  Even in defeat they were behind the team and respected the large number of away fans in their kop end so on this one I think it's all out of proportion. As for coin throwing I was nearish the front and didn't see any coins being thrown. So we should focus on the positive a great away win against a club who I hope get in the conference sooner rather than later.

My two pennoth, just read what was put on Twitter.. So,maybe DG should refrain from posting heat of the moment stuff BUT recently he has been booed at,verbally abused and someone even suggested taking him outside after the Ferriby game.. To me his comment was merely saying take defeat better than some do,players are human and we all have bad days where no matter what we do we still feck up but some of the stuff said down Spain Road is pathetic, similar to the boos at the Brackley game from 4 lads who had told me at half time it was their first ever game yet they still chanted OUT OUT OUT before the final whistle..

DG is human too and has taken flack from all quarters,I can see what he is trying to say (after all FCUM have not recently banned people for racism or drunken behaviour) just think he could have worded it better that's all.... When you think they came from a Saturday League team of pissed off Man United fans and look at the whole set up and where they are now you have too admire them... How long as it taken for us to get a new ground LOL ..

Seems to me some can give flack but don't like receiving it..

I have many times typed my frustrations shortly after getting home, then had tea and re read it before posting, once I have calmed down it usually gets deleted or edited.. Maybe a few others should do the same...

Anyway, bring on Saturday and lets ALL get behind the team from kick off too final whistle, moaning will not get them anywhere...

Oh,I too was critical of Hilliard against both Brackley & Ferriby but considering he was out on the wing he was wasted, moved back in the middle and he causes problems..

Anyone else going tomorrow nights U21's by the way? See you there if you are :)

What has spending loads of money got to do with dishing out personal abuse to the manager, which DID happen firstly to start the whole knobhead saga off ?!!   We ALL spend money on watching this team, but most of us feel that because we do spend out money on our hobby, pastime, love, that actually, win, lose or draw the manager, team, chairman does not owe us anything. Why do you feel that the club or manager owes you something all the time ?  As for this "alleged " dig,  as many have stated it does not read as a dig, it was merely praising another teams fans and how the club has progressed.  These same sentiments were echoed by some of OUR fans,  so now we have double standards and thats ok, because the club always owes us something ??  Other teams managers have praised our club in the past, are they in the wrong too ?
Sometimes its just nice to praise things in life, you should try it !  :-[   :bunny

Seems to me some can give flack but don't like receiving it..

Seems to me Dennis has the same disrespect for all supporters rather than just those who are critical or abusive.  I've never abused him or a player but the blanket response that we ALL need a lesson in class is beyond ridiculous, as I said, especially in direct response to a supporter who has done more than most to show commitment to the club!

To echo a sentiment from an earlier post, he needs to shut up and get on with his job.  He will get flack win lose or draw as a football manager at any club and if he has not worked that out by now he never will.

ALL ??? Never see that word quoted !  He's never disrespected me, and i am sure there are many others too in our supporters fanbase.  You get treated as you treat someone, and that goes for both sides. This whole thing is NOT just one sided, I've witnessed several comments made on the FB group for instance, that were started by a fan, and that were abusive and not football related towards the manager.

Again as others have said earlier this is all being taken out of all proportion and context .  nearly all fans like myself and MNH  refrain from abuse .  These are very naive people if they think shouting abuse at players and manager will be positive to the team .  To modify  MNH comments slightly they need to shut up and get supporting their team .

I don,t know what sort of commitment to to club the supporter mentioned by MNH has shown ,  for my part I have been a paying customer for SEVENTY YEARS (70) , this in no way entitles me to abuse the players or manager .  What strength of support entitles a "fan" to give abuse ?

Surely that's even counter-productive. 50/50 decision... do you go for the fans who are calling you every name under the sun, or the away team whose fans you cannot hear because there's not many of them?

Ref was closer than anyone when Worcester player stamped on Dayle (we all saw it) so when he gave yellow I politely asked him if I could feed his guide dog :D
You going to tell me you have never had a gripe with a referee over his poor decisions (or lack of) ??

Don't have a go at any away fans, they make the effort to travel and support their team so why should I ?? Strange remark that.

Yep, every game... just don't get the over-the-top abuse at officials. It's not going to help!

Wasn't saying you do have a go at away fans  :o I was talking about a referee and which way you'd side in a 50/50 decision (either the abusive home crowd at YS or the quiet away fans in the corner?)
