They are saying they cannot be promoted OUT of the UniBond, i.e. into Conference North.

They bend or ignore rules for other teams so why not Durham and Boston.

Well thats one way of making sure you dont get potential problem clubs in.

Sack the Conference board ASAP

I think the problem is that it is too level a playing field!
QPR, Preston, Oldham and Luton have all had plastic pitches and the consensus has been that they had an unfair advantage over their oponents over a season's games.
Artificial pitches have improved immensely since those days, and are probably better surfaces than many we play on now, but I presume the conference still deem it as an unfair advantage.

Fair thing to do would be to give Durham notice that if they got promoted they would have to turf their pitch. But the BS don,t do fairness or commonsense.

That sounds like a remarkably sensible idea. It does make you wonder why they haven't if indeed they haven't.
