We have just got to hope that they do not look south for a replacement :(

Well, one half of the bet is letting us down.  Gateshead conceded in the 88th minute.  Never mind keep the faith.

i have been investing a little each week for the past month on both Boston and Gateshead in singles and doubles after reading about Gateshead being overtaken via this thread and stand to win nearly £5000 if both teams continue to perform. ;D

I have been doing the same, but I get a free £5 bet each week because I am member of Skybet club.  This has been going on Boston at various prices.  I have said earlier I am not saying the bet will win ( a lot can happen ) but the prices are so wrong on Skybet.  Today on Bet Victor Boston are only 10/1 and Gateshead 25/1.  So Deano, stick another couple of quid on and fill Mel's Very big jam jar.

I know it is a long shot, and most of this post is tongue in cheek ;)   But if other members did the same and invest a couple of quid, who knows what could be achieved.  It would give us an interest in another club for the rest of the season.  Remember these prices are on Skybet.

If the season was to end today, the bet would pay £79.25

OXO  I have invested £2 in a £1 ew double.  Finish in the top three for the place side of the bet.   If they both win the league, I will give your jam jar collection £1,000 out of the winnings.

If they both are placed 2nd or 3rd  I will put the place winnings in.

Weird, Boston are third and price drifts to 25/1 ( Skybet )  Gateshead Top and are 40/1.  £10 double will get you £10,000.  I am not suggesting you do this, but a £1 ew double will get you over £1,100.

I wouldn't have called the game 'dreadful', but for all their ability this is a Boston side still well short of the levels I think they can achieve. Some of the final balls were terrible and I felt we were extremely wasteful in possession at times. But this is all stuff that will come as we get more games under our belt so I'm not at all concerned.

Arnold's off-the-ball movement is what I think marks him out as a player coming from a few levels up. Some of it, particularly early on, was superb but he wasn't getting the ball in those positions so started to drift inside looking for it and ended up perhaps trying a tad too hard, but swapping wings seemed to bring him back into the game. It was shame to hear fans behind me chuntering on about him even though he didn't have a bad game.

Nicky Walker was extremely impressive after he came on, but I have to say I was a tad alarmed by Willis charging out of his area into a full-throttle challenge given we didn't have a spare keeper on the bench!

Officials were dreadful. The shove on Willis deserved a red, but by only showing a yellow Fearn set the tone and was always likely to run into problems later on. Still, there was no need for the "get back in the kitchen" shouts. It's 2018 lads...

I agree with you Pete.  You must have been stood very close to me.  Old " green hat " was giving it plenty again.  The sooner he learns he is being counter-productive with his comments the better ( don't hold your breath ).  I saw one or two giving him verbal for his comments.  He has picked his player to call for the season, and no surprise it is Nathan Arnold.  A Lincoln City supporter told me, you get the best out of Arnold if you keep off his back, when he is good he is Very good, but his head drops when criticised.  I was pleased to see him change wings.  I was stood with my daughter and grand daughter and my grand daughter could not believe the comments made towards the ref concerning her gender.  I said as a ref she was crap, but being a woman had nothing to do with it, being  a crap ref is part and parcel of this league.

I was surprised to see three minutes added, I thought it was at least five.  Not sticking up for her, but perhaps the 4th official put the wrong time up.

Never in a million years was it seven thou.

I agree about the ref.  Should have shown cards earlier, you could see it was going to turn ugly.

I enjoyed the match, thought we were the better team.

I also agree about Walker, I think he has earned himself a starting slot.

Could not see the tackle, that got him sent off.  Pity straight red, three games missed.
