Title: Refereeing
Post by: rob.1987 on December 11, 2011, 05:56:04 PM
So we think we have some bad refs down at YS week after week... it ain't much better in the PL judging by the efforts at the Britannia this evening! A truly awful display of refereeing.

PS - I am NOT a Spurs fan either!

Must admit it was not one of Mr Foy's better games.

Tony Pulis, learned from the fat one when he had a month down here.

The pitch narrowed to stop Spurs using Bale and Lennon.

Time wasting tactics and pushing the law of the game to the limits.

It worked, a good ploy, must be what they call a dirty win. :)

No that's not the reason they make the pitch smaller, they always have the pitch that size when playing in the Premier League to help with the long throw ins. The second pitch is for the europa league where they have set rules for pitch size :)

Always raises a bit of a smile when I see how much wider the pitch has to be when they play by the rules.  I notice no other team changes the level playing field when playing in Europe to Domestic.  I suspect the grass isn't evenly cut on Pulis's say so too. It's not like they need certain areas to play in.

I seem to remember Bolton doing the same under Fat Sam

Sir Chris Hoy is getting hammered on twitter for his lousy refereeing at the Britannia!  :D

Stoke players using toweling T shirts under their strip to dry the ball for long throw ins :)
