I'll be there. Only a couple of quid to get in, nice lounge, good chips.
Oops, nearly forgot, football game as well.
Seriously though, one of the most enjoyable games I have seen this season was a reserve home match. If anyone is undecided I would suggest making the trip, make it an enjoyable evening out and show support for the lads.

Is it a 7.30 kick off? Will the tie be decided on the night with extra time and penalties? Dont want a replay this time of year!

That's hardly a ringing endorsement from you Bostonshire given the nature of your spelling in the above post. :dan

If you knew a bit more about the people on this forum I would like to think that you wouldn't have posted that remark ref-: spelling. Don't always assume that everything is black and white.

A pretty standard reserves line up no real first teamers only Sanders and drury. GD was there watching from the stand

I thought we usually train on Tuesday? So why was GD coaching the 1st team?

I would assume that West & Holden were taking the training and GD &  son Shaughney were running the rule over a few trialists.

Sleaford were the best for the first half but Boston took the second. The game was not very exciting. No one performed outstandingly well for us but to be fare both  goalkeepers pulled out some very good saves. The only player I would single out for a mention is Sanders. He is a liability. Kicked acouple of their players after the ball had moved on and I am certain that was a deliberate elbow on the head of one of their players, totally unnecessary. I would get rid of him because he was the only player out there that played that way.
What a joker of a ref. Ignored pleas from Sleaford players about some of the fouls and on 3 occasions even shouted at players and lost self control with their number 9. Move away, show a card, yellow or red, but to stand there shouting at a player was disgraceful. He made a real *osser of himself. As for the linesman on the dugout side, if he had not been 5 yards behind the line of players I doubt if Bostons 2nd goal would have been allowed and certainly would have been in a position to give an offside against Boston near the end of the game.
In summary, no one anywhere ready for the first team yet, even as a last resort.
Nice bar. Good chips. Great Eclairs, won in the raffle, think I was the only one to buy a ticket.

Tbf seeingbetter. I thought sleafords goalkeeper was probably the best player out there last night. Nothing he could of done about the goals and pulled off some good saves

you obviously watched a diffrent game to me... sleaford kicked the #hit out our lads thommo took several elbows to the head which ment he had to come off. the number 6 at centre back kicked and spat at players off the ball. as for the ref he said to bunny at one point "im talking to players as its a friendly, if you want me to use cards there wont be enough players on the pitch"

the sleaford players were a joke esp bishop, call himself a teacher, his swearing was shocking his attitude stinks and not once did he give owt to the game.

i thought the reserves did a good job, its now the second time they have beaten ucl side this season in friendlies. most of the ucl players they have beaten are on wages were our lads do it for fun.

the facilities are great, yes chips were nice but god is that pitch crap, no wonder sleaford bottom of league, no one can play footie on there.

anyway....... stop slagging our reserves off and do as we all should and get behind what bunny vinno and aidie are doing with them all

once charley went in tough on there centre back sleaford then moaned about being unfairly treated

waisters all of em to be honest

Seeingbetter saw it right. Charley is a liability, seen him sent off for youth team, sent off for the first team and fetch blood again the other night all for use of the elbow. Either teach him how to challenge strong but safe or get rid. Think it was Jordon that kicked out a couple of times though. Not impressed by Sleaford. Not a good game to watch.

Not a good pitch to play on from the couple of times I've seen it. Facilities are decent but the standard of the playing surface is utter crap...looks like it's been laid on clay, which means it's bone hard in summer, a bog in winter and bobbly all year round!  :o

I attended this game and was more than a little miffed and felt a little bit conned. On the official web site it stated the match was a Boston United eleven versus Sleaford. On a freezing cold evening I paid my money only to find the Boston eleven was the reserves. Ok it was a Boston team but it should have stated it was to be the reserves, in my opinion I was conned into turning out thinking I would be watching at least a few first teamers. This does the club no favours. As it was, the game was so dire on a horrible pitch that it did nobody any favours and I only lasted until halftime.
I will be going to watch the youth team cup game tomorrow and hope it will not be the under 9s.
