Just lately the attendances have been down, probably because we are all feeling the pinch financially, the large number of games in a short space of time, and , for some, the cold weather. For some reason games on TV also affect attendances, though I don't really get one - either you support Boston first and foremost, or you support someone else. If Boston are your team, then record the TV one and watch it when you get home!!!!

I am expecting attendances to be around the same average as last season.

I am expecting attendances to be around the same average as last season.

I would say the same as the teams we play are about the same magnitude and pull.  We'll see a rise if we continue to do well, but won't see a rise of any size til we make the nationals and hit the named teams ( Cambridge, Rushden, Grimsby etc)
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

The higher attendances last season came towards the end of the season:
Sat 20/3 H N NANTWICH TOWN 1378
Fri 2/4 H N FRICKLEY ATHLETIC 1417
Sat 10/4 H N GUISELEY 1604
Sat 17/4 H N FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER 2533

Like last season if home results are good (we won all of the above) and we are in the mix for promotion again then the casual fans are more likely to come along. Warmer weather also attracts the casuals at the end and beginning of the season.

How many would we expect to get if we could still win the league on the last day? 3000?

Doubt it would be higher than 2500

Our attendances might grow further more with this excellent incentive http://www.bufc.co.uk/article/3369417/Pilgrims-unveil-ticket-incentive

all our home matches in the league pre-xmas were well over 1500. except the corby game. it apears that once the cold kicked in the fans stayed away. either that or people lost interest due to the lack of fixtures, due to bad weather. hopefully as the warmer temps return so will the fans. also petrol has pushed the pennies to far.

Fantastic offer from the club. No use to me personally as I will be attending the Glouchster and Alfreton games but due to work wont be at the Harrogate game but well done to BUFC on coming up with an idea to keep attendances up for those who would have picked 1 or 2 of the above matches as £33 is alot of anyones money.
