In a way, its a shame their game vs Grimsby (last night) wasn't reshceduled for thursday so Grimsby would come here.
They'd have took 500+ and there'd have been nearly 1000 there.

but with these 2 teams and the prices, I doubt they'll get more than 250

PS- Is anyone prepared to give me a lift to/from the game?? Will happily pay fuel costs etc, quite easy where you want to pick me up from depending on your route. Would greatly appreciate it, not done this one and won't have another chance for a while probably. P.M me if you are willing to take up the offer. Thanks  :)

But there more people you get through the gate, the loss in cheap tickets can be made p by food/bar/merchandise sales... as well as maybe a few who come more often in future.
I'm sure there's got to be more to it than that but for a one off, why not?

Why not have 1 home game, maybe Halifax as you'll get more away fans too, where its a fiver all round or kids for free or do what some clubs have done whereby you pay "what you want" (min £2 maybe)- Season ticket holders get a free programme/beverage etc
We're on a good run now, its nearly end of the year, why not try out some different approaches?
I remember Morecambe did a free entry thing and got national coverage of it and the publicity helped get over 4,000 there (OK gates have gone back to sub 1500)

If they can't beat Telford at home Saturday... wow!
Telford are 25 without a win though apparently...
Still think they'll fluke a way out of it but I thought that 2 yrs ago when they went out of the FL.

Been back in Derby an hour and half now, really solid performance by us. A couple of superb goals (Milnes in particular) and another very solid defensive performance from the back 5. Worcester only had a couple of close calls and you could tell they were a side on a poor run. I said to myself if we got the first we could batter them and the 2nd half especially was mostly 1 way stuff, we won all the 2nd balls, 50-50s and Sanders did great work to set up the 3rd goal. Midfield were very good.
The only niggle was that a couple of our defenders are now injured, so hopefully we can still see it out. Good for Sanders/Nuttell to get a run out today too- maybe DG will give the kids a few games to get experience but lets try and get a long winning run going. We were at least as good as BPA in the away game, Hinckley should be straightforwards as should Stortford.
And the prospect of Lincoln being in our league next year was also worth raising a smile to!

Really good performance from us today against a team high up.
First half was fairly even but we were well in the game- just lacked the final pass to create chances. Got fortunate the linesman spotted 2 offsides for their goals, but from the other end can't say but there were few complaints.

2nd half was more of the same but we managed to put it together and with a bit of luck off the defelection, went in front. They came at us for a bit and should've scored with some chances but we were never defending too deep and looked a threat going forwards and got the 2nd from the corner.

A really solid display by the back 5- they threw a fair bit at us but we never buckled and Haysteam commanded his area really well and made 2 really good saves first half. Midfield played well, no way overpowered by theirs and SWD looked livelier than I've seen him in past games.

Overall, a great day out- nice clubhouse and they had a kids for free day with raffles etc and there was a great atmosphere by both sets of fans- its just a pity their car park and walkways are flooded and muddy and there is no completed stand at one end.
And also a nice touch from the manager to come through the walkway and thank us as we were walking by the tunnel in the stand.

more importantly, lets go on a run in the last 9 games or so and build momentum for next year. If we can get to 55 points from here in, its been a solid end and something to work with and start next year with playing confidence and good crowds.

I was one of many who didn't go but although it sounded like we rode our luck at times, 4-0 is a banging result. Good to see SWD get a couple, hopefully he'll get back to the form of a year or so ago, a good confidence boost clean sheet.
Poor crowd tonight but we did expect it, but credit to Gloucester bringing 31- one of the better turnouts we've seen this year. (I thought they may bring double figures)

Needed the win with Histon/Colwyn Bay winning and with Brackley going down 3-0 at Histon, I'm not fearing the game on saturday like I was 48 hours ago, though I'll still settle for a draw now...

Hopefully we've had our low point and it keeps getting better
