The B-Ark / Re: Bank holiday Beer Festival @ The Black Sluice Cafe

We just got back from the first night of the festival.

8 Brews, mostly Lincs breweries, plus two ciders, one weighing in at a conservative '7.1%' approx, served by the ever knowledgeable and helpful Terry.

Also, good band, food and company.  Lots for the kids to do too.

Get down there tomorrow with your Utd shirt on and get 50p off a pint. Only three quid to get a taxi back into town.

In a few year's time the BS could be part of the pre-match circuit!

Get down there Sunday and you may get to meet the BUFC management team too, if the May fest is anything to go by.

Finally, get well soon Mr Tickle - not the same without Julie and you.

Yeh I remember his first appearance at York St and in the 'club' (now a lap dancing joint), with the infamous 'Zippy' leather waistcoat.

Top bloke, Boston through and through, hope he can make it to a round 700 appearances.

When someone can show me how to tansfer the official Non-League 1990/91 Highlights video onto the web, you will all see the early Bazza getting his marching orders on the last day of the season Fisher Athletic v Barnet, and him pelting his shirt getting into the ground!!

All the best Bazza, we love you!

BUFC seem to settle one dept down only for another one to start underperforming.  Today, after a good start to the season, the midfield decided it was their turn , (as a previous poster has also stated), in particular Hally and Milnesy, the former being a revelation last Sat at Blyth, esp in the first half.

Today, across all of the XI, (not just Hall and Milne), had they thought about it, took a look up and played a 10 yard pass instead of trying to spray a killer ball 40 or 50 yards from one side of the pitch to the other, then we could have been well out of sight rather than struggling to run the clock down at corners etc, towards the end of the game.  Same in front of goal where either a firm shot, (Semps), or a pass across the face (Danny), to a better placed teammate, could have given us a cushion when we needed it.

Even so, as ever, still very proud of ALL the lads who wore the shirt, not seen us a play a good side yet, which rather than worrying about when we play one of the higher placed sides, is making me feel positive that we can build it up, and we will gradually mount a push for the play offs.  Defence looks better, forward situation has been addressed, just need a midfielder who can 'sit' and another option out wide to put some pressure on Ryan and Hally.

Two inexperienced managers, who seem to be learning and have BUFC at heart - they need our support, keep the faith!

heads up and ready for the next game.

Attitude description - exactly right, same as S***boro on Tue after Worcester the Sat before, another decent turnout on Tue + the two subsequent away trips, inc Worky 4 hour special on Sat, but will still manage more than the 94 we saw today, when we go to Telford...

Safety Group and the Town End, you're having a laugh!  Could have told you that afer several trips to the old Bucks Head in the 80s and 90s that they have no fans, but can't have the BUFC fans having a good time creating a bit of atmos can we!?  SAFETY and NOT ENJOYING OURSELVES FIRST!!!

The B-Ark / Re: Rob Scott interview

'But that's what we have come to expect here.'  Rob Scott tonight on Radio Cabbage.  Not one to post here but, pardon Rob?!  Understandable frustration when interviewed in the heat of the moment immediately after the game is over, and whatever great work they have done for our club, (which any normal BUFC fan is very grateful for by the way before anyone starts), this knocking of the fans, is starting to get annoying, especially after the 1200 mutes comments V Corby.

S&H: Please don't tar all the fans based on the comments of a handful of idiots in the main stand!

Speaking with a main stand season ticket holder post match today, it appears someone high profile from the academy lost their rag with said idiots and told them to shut the f*** up this afternoon.  Well done that man!  Season ticket holder + 3 others, are all looking to relocate next season to elsewhere in the stand, as they are fed up with the senile idiots and their inane comments prompting angry looks towards innocent fans from the management when the abuse is nothing to do with them.
