Sam McLintock departs
« on: November 04, 2023, 01:06:36 PM »
Boston United midfielder Sam McLintock has departed the club by mutual consent…

Can't say it's a shock. Something in the backroom seems to of happened.

Yep, clearly his face hasn’t fit for some reason recently. I think it’s a shame as he seemed to fit the way IC prefers to play. Maybe a similar fate awaits Michael Gyasi?

I got the impression there was a fall out at his previous club.

Perhaps he thinks he is better than what he actually is, be interesting to see how long he lasts at his next club.

I liked him, clearly struggled a bit this season and found it hard to get in. His mates on Twitter seem to suggest he's been treated terribly behind the scenes but of course there are two sides to every story. Shame he's gone and I'm sure he will hurt us in the future, be interesting to see where his next move is. Be very surprised if it's a step up.

I can see a few more leaving yet.
Did they try and get Billy Chadwick back on loan from Stockport, he's on loan at Gateshead and not getting game time.

How we could do with a player like Chadwick, as he's not starting a chance we could get him back.Great that we've not conceded many recently but not scored many either. Yesterday said on commentary that Knowles needed a rest and was on the bench having to change to 1 upfront with no other striker. We've finally found out McLintock was fit but leaving still no news on other attackers Thorndike and gyasi got to think manager is looking to bring someone in.

It's worth a punt, unless of course they, as in Stockport want him to play at a higher level than we are.

We can't get him until at least January, as he's on a long term loan from an EFL club (can only be ended in a transfer window).

I would suggest Billy Chadwicks value has gone up today .. first league start and scores a hat-trick.

Danny Elliot wasn't in the scunny team today is he injured? Surely he's bored of the lack of playtime.

Oh, dear. How sad. It just goes to show how appearances can be deceptive.

I think he came to us under a cloud.  I seem to remember he had an altercation with a spectator whilst at Telford.

Yes, there was clearly something given his rapid departure from Telford.
