100% wrong predictions this season, I hope to keep the record going.  Brackley 2-1 BUFC  2898.

One glimmer of hope is, when they went on general sale against York, they did not sell out till after Lunch. I know this because my granddaughter's partner camped out to get tickets, he need not have bothered.

One good thing, David Newton called him bonkers then paid for his two tickets.

We will have to get Nosher down as a legend next season.

A well deserved win.  We were the better team on the park, and played some good football. A special mention to the referee, he kept the game flowing.  If we show the same commitment on Tuesday against Billy Heath's bruisers we should make the semi finals.

I had the honour to be in the company of two Rotherham fans last Saturday.  The subject of SE came up. They both said they would welcome him back. Then like magic he returns.  I rang my mate and said be careful what you wish for.

Very disappointing performance yesterday. The result gives us a lot to do. If by some miracle we do go up, I think we will struggle big time. I see Kidderminster have been relegated. A big call out to the big crowd yesterday, and to the 200+ Scarborough fans who made the long journey.

Now the bus WAS a dubious one, only because I'd heard they'd refused alternative transport to stick beside their stricken coach!

I'd travelled across from Nottingham for that game and found it was off as I supped my first pint in the Pilgrim Lounge...

I remember on the day Spenny’s keeper was injured, their emergency loan keeper missed the bus, and their (presumably) reserve keeper was tweeting about which outfielder was going to play in goal, as none of their 3 keepers would be at Boston.
Now, all of this might be completely made up, but that’s what I heard that weekend. Far fetched though it was, maybe it could have been the case.
The striker was also suspended.

The B-Ark / OT Conspiracy theories
« on: April 10, 2024, 01:22:09 PM »
On the Spennymoor thread I confessed I was a big fan of Conspiracy theories. This does not mean I believe them, but some provide so much evidence it makes you question some of the mainstream facts.

Some of the main conspiracy theories doing the rounds are of course, Did we land on the moon? Was it the Titanic which sank or he sister ship? Was 9/11 a US government ploy to invade Iraq? My favourite one at the moment is, is the moon artificial put there by Aliens?

The reasoning behind this theory is the sheer coincidence of the moon being where it is and the size it is.
The moon is in the most optimum position to most benefit the earth. It is exactly 400 times smaller than the sun. It's 400 times nearer the earth than the sun. This is why it exactly covers the sun in a solar eclipse.

The odds apparently of all this happening are twenty two trillion to one. I don't believe any of the above, but just heading off to Loch Ness ;D ;D

I love a good conspiracy theory, and Spennymoor seems to provide ammunition at least once a season.  My first thought  was that they were upto their old tricks.  But other matches in the area were also called off, including Gateshead. So Spennycheat, I  will give you the benefit of the doubt. Only because I can't see what advantage it would give you. Maybe the bus will break down on the way to the match on Thursday ( even though they're at home ). Then I will smell a rat ;)
