not such a great game today
« on: November 07, 2015, 09:47:57 PM »
Well the result anyway.
An agricultural  village team over a team trying (mostly) to play.
Sadly we contributed to our own down fall.
A couple of silly conceded goals when we were ahead. An apparently  good peno shout and an off side goal  didn't help.
Saw Simon Weaver in the crowd  and said "see you Tuesday "
Hope we can turn it round in a few days time.

Looked good going forward, but the 3rd and 4th goals conceded were poor. Should have had a penalty, when Richards was fouled in the box but the poor ref gave a goal-kick.

Not sure how we managed to score 3 and still get nothing.... just really sloppy defending at times. The 2nd equalizer moments after we scored, the 3rd... both poor. The 4th was from a corner too.

A pity given sides above us slipped up and we couldn't take advantage. Have to look at 9 pts from next 3 games to get points on the board before everyone plays them games and reels us in

But who's to say these other teams will get maximum points and reel us in ?  I prefer the one game at a time approach, far less pressure put on the team then. We are still sitting reasonable in the league and the winter months always sees teams dropping points against the teams you wouldn't expect them to so i can see us still been in the play offs as a minimum come the end of the season which was the ask at the start of this season.  Today was disappointing yeah, but we are still in a good position.

would have settled for a point today before kick off, National Farmers Union have now won 5 drawn 3 at home so it shows its a very difficult place to go. Always think you need a strong ref if your going to beat ferriby and get those 50-50 decisions, cant say they are dirty team, just seem to push it to the limits and if the ref lets it go or you dont get the big decisions like the penalty today they get away with it, call it experience if you like but they also have some real skill in theyre squad.

role on Tuesday, 3 points and we will all be as happy as George always seemed to be, bless him.
against league 3, an idiots guide to making the rich richer and the poor poorer.

No need to panic! First defeat of the side since DG signed a bunch of quality players. Look at Chelsea. They are still kissing Jose;s backside and he is losing every game and has lost control of himself!

No comment on here yet for the brilliant tactical substitution of our captain by Mr Genius. What a decision. 2-2 at the time. Sounds as if the defence had a bad game plus the poor ref did not help, but the only really physical presence we have in midfield is taken off and we capitulate  yet again.  Unbelievable.

They ( Ferriby ) were bypassing the midfield with hoofball at the time, leaving the middle of the park almost off limit hence why the change was made, and correctly so.

Then why not just drop him back into the defence and have 5 at the back to help nullify the long ball?   It's not rocket science, or is it!!

because we wanted to win!
as I recall (actually got to an away game) we were trailing 3-2 . we went on to score and concede after that so its really all about hindsight isn't it
