The B-Ark / Jamie Clarke
« on: November 07, 2012, 11:06:00 AM »

Former Pilgrim Jamie Clarke suffered a serious discolation of the knee in last nights Leicestershire F A
Westerby Cup fixture against Quorn ten years to the day he suffered a broken leg whilst playing for
Grantham Town in a FA Trophy fixture at the Meres having been selected on the day to represent
England in a semi pro under 21 fixture against Italy in Cremona and being offered trials at The Riverside.
I am sure most Pilgrim fans would want to offer their support and could contact Jamie via his twitter
 account @clarkeystriker#

Talking of strikers,I read on the Non-League website Matlock Town have released ex
Pilgrim forward Danny Davidson. Danny apparantly moved to the Gladiators from Worksop
Town due to lack of games and selection.........even fewer games now ! and it will be interesting
to learn where his next journey will take him. I hazard a guess and think he'll end up at Evo Stick
Div 1 South side Belper Town with Duffield and Co.

I've been told DD has signed for Coalville Town
.

Oh dear, the playing squad at Owen Street seem to hop on and off a continuous 'merry go round' with nobody really being given the opportunity of establishing themselves there. Danny now becomes the
third ex pilgrim to have signed forms for last seasons FA Vase finalists, lets see how long he is given.

An extremley good appraisal from Leicester Pilgrim and his thoughts and comments are always
constructive and fair. I to was at Bastocks end for their second goal and certainly didn't hear
any call from the veteran custodian to help and assist Faircloughs decision to clear any danger
and it was very much a soft goal to conceed at the time.

I share the opinion of others that I thought Eastwoods Francis Green was their best player and
he certainly hasn't lost any of his desire to win football matches, his attitude has not changed
from seeing him as a young player at Eastwoods local rivals Ilkeston Town under the Management
of the late Keith Alexandra. From Boston's point I thought the style of play was a little disjointed
overall until the introduction at half time of Semple for Kirk whom for me is a little lightweight. For
the neutral I thought 2-2 was a fair result but cannot see Lee or Jason sharing my sentiments.

 Happy New Year to all.......

Interesting to read in the Boston Standard the denial from Canners that the target for new
strikers ruled out Spencer and Jamie Clarke... (remember him ?) Clarky has been attracting
interest from Eastwood Town and Evo Stick neighbours Quorn to whom apparantly have put
a big offer in for his services and to team up with ex Pilgrim and player/manager Laurie
Duffield. It is believed however the deal will not go ahead due to the players affinity and
loyalty he has with present Club Loughborough Dynamo something under the S&H regime
he was not allowed to do...........

The B-Ark / James McKeown

I read with interest the inevitable return to London Rd the home of Peterborough Utd loanee
McKeown at some point after the New Years fixtures. The article in the Non League website
pages also makes the point of telling Pilgrim fans that the Management appear to be showing
little faith in Aron Butcher in handing him the No1 jersey.

The lad has just returned I think from a loan spell and is back to square one imo... lets hope
Scott and Hurst see sense and release the lad from his contract and let him find a Club that
want him and he can start enjoying his football once again.

Interesting to see amongst the very depleted crowd at Ashby Avenue a certain Paul Hurst last night
watching the Lincoln Utd v Stamford League Cup fixture. Now.... who had he come to watch ?

The B-Ark / Re: Latest on Lincoln's new manager(s)
« on: October 02, 2010, 09:55:42 AM »

After careful consideration to this thread I personally think S&H would probably relish the opportunity
to move into proffesional football. Both are ambitious and inevitably would like to take Boston into
the League, but an early opportunity has arisen that may be to good to turn down ?

There is no question of their ability in the Management stakes,I would have no idea of what finances
would be available at Sincil Bank and with no disrespect to David Newton and the Board at York Street
but it has got to be better surely. As far as playing ability goes how far advanced is League Two in terms
of quality from a players perspective. Would there be players here at York Street that could make the
step up knowing what their Managers here expect from them.

IMO this is probably a hard one to call, their positions at Sincil Bank would have to become fulltime so that
would be a consideration both would have to think about seriously. The whole package if offered to them
would have to be right for all parties concerned but if it were to materialise it would naturally be Lincoln's
gain Boston's loss. I do hope all this speculation has no affect on todays fixture on Merseyside.

The B-Ark / Re: Jason Lee........
« on: October 01, 2010, 08:09:32 AM »

I can just about get my head around the decision made by S&H to bring in Jason Lee for his
second spell with you. However was there no consideration made to Hunter who appears to
me is just around to make up the numbers. I appreciate Lee and Hunter are different types
of players and that the formation always seems to be centered around a big target man but
I feel for Miles who must be wondering what he has to do to get a game, surely not every fixture
has to be geared up to accomodate a predictable formation...... It would appear the finances have
been freed up by the release of Liam Parker to bring in Lee...

 Just a thought.....

I'm not sure there has been anyone knocking Newsh....................except maybe an implied criticism from the father of a player currently out on loan......... ;)

Before this thread gets completley out of context can we put to bed any alledged criticism of Mark
Newsham's performances this season.Any comments forwarded on to this forum by a father of a player
currently out on loan were always made from observations and were never intended to be critical or to
offend. Problems associated with these type of discussion forums are there is always someone who will
read to much into a comment and open up that proverbial 'can of worms' which takes a quite innocent
comment completley out of context.
Fact.. Newsham is not that type of box to box forward and I have seen better workrate from other squad
players, Fact.. no one is taking away his goal to appearance ratio neither the number of tap ins and
spot kicks he has contributed within his 25goal tally so far this season. As I have commented on before,
Mark Newsham is not my type of player and given consideration to the fact we all live in a democratic
society with freedom of speech surely I am entitled to those comments. I apologies if those sentiments
offend and would like to be given the opportunity of wishing Mark continued success.
