The B-Ark / A big thank you to the chairman
« on: March 04, 2013, 10:07:05 PM »
Well done David. Absolutely the right decision to change the manager.
It has been an absolute disaster with Graham Drury.

We supporters must all get behind the chairman, new manager, and players for the rest of this season and obviously beyond.

Do not judge on tomorrow nights game, both performance and crowd, its far too early but we really do need a positive bounce from this.
I cannot be there tomorrow night, but will be for the rest of the season.

something positive as last. Well done again DN.

The B-Ark / were on the crest of a slump
« on: February 26, 2013, 10:50:32 PM »
get real everybody. this is getting serious. another defeat and 31 games played.
these two homes games are now massive. we must get at least 4 points from them

colwyn are getting new players in, other sides know exactly what they have to do.

I for one am getting very worried about this run in. Its allright saying it will be allright for next year- although with this set up I doubt it. I cannot see Newsham, Milnes, and SWD staying in this set up, and if we dont watch out we will get ourselves into third from bottom.

what a mess. its ok blaming Jason, but this set up is fast getting worse. I think we really are in trouble.

The B-Ark / Jones and Spriggs
« on: January 21, 2013, 02:12:25 PM »
Interesting changes. I have always though Jones was a good player and am sorry to see him go. However these things happen in non league football when daft money is banded about by a club that is determined to try and get one over Boston Utd. We all know that we are a proper football club and I think Mark will realise this in time, but from the offer that was made you cannot blame the lad. I hope this signing of Steve Spriggs does happen -- he sounds a direct and speedy winger that scores plenty of goals- just what we need. Cant remember the last similar winger -- what about Gordon Hughes, Stuart Hamill, Eric Lister even-- thats showing my age!!

Good luck to the lad-- I have to say I am still not absolutely sure about Graham Drury, allthough he seems to be 100% Boston Utd and the signings so far look very promising. I do know that he is a far better prospect than Jason Lee-- what players if any would he have brought in?

The B-Ark / next five league games
« on: September 05, 2012, 10:48:08 AM »
interesting recent posts and good comments from lots of people.

However -- it seems after 6 games our season is fast approching over unless David Newton actually admits he got it wrong to give Jason another season in charge. I have nothing against Jason-- he was a cracking player, but he just does not seem to be manager material.

Look at our next 5 league games

away at Colwyn Bay, Bradford PA, and FC Halifax
home against Chester and Gainsboro

with games against Worcester, Stalybridge, and Guiseley following shortly.

In our present form cant see many points coming from that lot.

The chairman is very astute and can see that gates will quickly fall. He must act and clear out all the management team asap, because this can quickly become a scrap at the bottom of the league.

How about a player manager-- and before GHM says who- thats not my problem its down to the chairman. I cannot believe there is no one out there that would love the chance to start their managerial career at a club like Boston Utd.

BUT HE MUST ACT NOW

Craig--

What a great programme this year  well done to all involved
What does everybody else think?

Dont know if its possible, but are you able to get a matrix in to show all results so far for each team and the dates when the remaining games are to be played?

The B-Ark / Signings
« on: May 24, 2012, 11:41:43 AM »
Apart from those from last year, some of which are encouraging, so far we have only signed a goalkeeper who has already played for us before.

Lots of players are signing for other clubs, and I know its a long time to the start of the new season, but come on Jason, I want to buy a season ticket, but what encoragement is there at present for me to get one.

We want to see new blood coming into the club. So far virtual silence. Whats going on???

The B-Ark / SWD and Sleathy
« on: May 20, 2012, 04:48:10 PM »
I thought Jasons deadline for signing last years squad was last weekend.

Have they signed yet? If yes-why no news yet on the official site

If no then withdraw the offer straight away especially from SWD as we do not want a repetition of last years shambles.

The B-Ark / What next?????
« on: April 17, 2012, 04:41:02 PM »
Very disapponted to hear that Jason has been reappointed.

I understand all the financial pressures etc, but this is not the way forward. Perhaps the crowds would have been better if we had a better team!!

If you assume we lose our last 2 matches, which is quite likely, since the start of the new year that will be won 6, drawn 4 and lost 11. That would give 44 points for a full year. IE bottom three of the league.

I think only 6 players should be retained.
Ward, Stainfield, Sleath, Milnes, Weir-Daley, and Newsham.
That means we need at least 10 new players assuming we can get 2 or 3 of the reserve squad up to speed in the overall squad.

Jason's track record of finding and attracting players is pathetic so far. How will this change.

I will not be renewing my season ticket-- the first time in about 10 years. I do hope that David Newton has made the right choice for the club, but I am really concerned for next year.

The B-Ark / unhappy christmas
« on: December 18, 2011, 09:47:30 AM »
I am getting more concerned with the current situation.

the next four games are likely to be critical to our season. On paper even with this team we should win them all easily, but look at some of our earlier results!! I have said it before if we get into a dogfight I do not fancy our last 10 games of the season

we are an average team, with some good players, but poorly managed. Now White has gone, Austin and Jellyman injured. Its a joke for this club to be where we are this season. I do not know why other sides with significantly less fans and finances than us can get better players. It has to be down to the managers.

I suppose if we do win these next four games people will be saying we are about to launch a rise up the table. Get real this is a bottom half of the league team. Our managers are just not cutting it.
