Lincolnshire League v West Yorkshire League
« on: September 06, 2013, 06:02:28 PM »
Not much at moment on Club's website, but there is a match at York Street tomorrow at 3.00pm between the two Leagues' Representative sides in the FA's Inter-League Competition. Anyone know if any of our Reserves have been selected?
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

Interesting no Reserves selected. We have several good new players coming through this season. I suppose, to be fair, Walden won't have seen the likes of Ngoni Dongo yet, although I am surprised Andy Hewitt not selected in goal. Still, I am sure he will play a good strong team. :bunny

went to the Lincs v Yorks match. Nearly all Skegness players v nearly all Leeds city players. Wish we had stayed at home, dreadful standard of hoofball. Not a good player in sight. Liam Parker was at right back for Lincs. but his standard has dropped a long way since playing for us. We won't be going to any more of these matches, Rosebery ave is better on a Sunday morning.

Admit not the best of games, but Lincolnshire did deserve to go through if not for the fact we did select players from several clubs (albeit mostly from Skegness based teams) whereas "West Yorkshire" were unimaginative and lazy and selected players from one club only, Leeds City! Maybe the FA should drop a note to the West Yorkshire League to remind them that, in the spirit of the Competition, they should consider selection of players throughout that League and not just one club? Well done Paul Walden and the lads...and on to the next round where hopeful we will meet more bona fide opponents. :bunny
