So?
-
Did anybody see the moon tonight?
-
Has anybody heard the Sun and Moon, tonight? :dan
-
For people who say that they don't want to talk about Steve Evans, there's a remarkable number posting on here under the heading of Steve Evans.
-
Has he re-applied for the job?!? :o
-
Not particularly impressed with this article ... seems a bit as if Evans himself is now belittling Boston's promotion into the Football League. Of course, this could also be a bit of journalistic slant ...

He'd give himself a pat on the back if it wern't for several layers of fat obstructing his mobility.
-
What the "cnut" fails to mention is that he has had an almost bottomless pit of money to throw at players.
Cheque book promotion.
-
Still the same old ego
-
Thats 2 promotions he's 'won' that aren't worth a light.
Lets hope Crawley's murky finances are exposed and he's finally drummed out of football like he should have been in 2002.
A waste of a human life IMHO..........
-
Can we stop the reminising about the was and look forward to the wills, I.E the wonderfull new lease of life that newton as gave the club and the acheivment of possibly back to back promotions done the right way. I sometimes think if half of us who comment and are addicted to SE took our keyboard bashing and turned it into vocal support for boston what a joy it would be.

ABSOLUTELY SPOT-ON BOSTONSHIRE...........All posts/threads regarding our murky past should be banned immediately. We are a club moving on and we need to look forward- not look backwards.
Evans and Crawley are what they are. They have done a fantastic job this season promoting non-league footie and good luck to them.
It is the faceless men at the FA who should hang their heads in shame for allowing people like our former manager to still be allowed to be involved in football.Shame on them all.................
-
He who forgets the past is doomed to repeat it and all that jazz. Personally I dont see anything wrong with the current levels of hatred, nothings gone too over the top, its healthy to let off some steam once in a while...

Nice bloke aswell
-
I see in todays Sun Steven Howard has his tongue right down the back of Evans' trousers again........
Utterly shameful journalism.
-
evans. yawn... yawn... yawn
-
I dont see anythink wrong with hate but with the up and comming rise we have and possibly will have again im sure a certain SE should at least be banished to the darkest corners of our sheds

spot on again Bostonshire....its a pity other people keep reminding us all about him (SE).....I would sooner devote my energy to supporting BUFC......

I go on many fans forum nationwide and fans of clubs that have had no connection to Evans have threads slagging him of on a regular basis. Also on the conference forum there are sometimes 3 or 4 threads A DAY venting steam at the man , fans as far afield as Exeter to Sunderland. Having followed BUFC over 60 years never in that time has their been anyone nearly dispised as this man for bringing to club disgrace . In my opinion anyone who feels better for it should come on here and air their thoughs about the faudster . It also serves as a reminder of what we all owe to Chestnuts .
-
why go on a thread about evans then moan when people mention evans you can see what the threads about ignore it..................simples
-
Totally agree amberexile.
If people want to pass comment on Evans - me included - let them. If you don't stop posting about the fact that there should not be posts about Evans.
Lest we forget .....
-
So he's got there with the mysterious big money behind him. Let's spare a moment to congratulate the Crawley fans and wish them well in their moment of glory. It's a shame their chairman didn't live to see it.
As for him, he's now in the spotlight and the money wont last forever. We (and the rest of the world) will see what he's made of.... as if we didn't know!
-
Yes, well done to the Crawley TEAM - but when does the FA and FL start looking at the 'proper person' rules?
-
At least we have a new ground to look forward too #positive energy!
-
Wonder if the FA come knocking on the door of Crawley Town sometime in June.....?
Are Crawley Town getting a new ground because their current one only holds about 4500?
I thought the minimum for the Football League was 6500.

the "Fit and proper person" test is an absolute joke, i wouldn't take any notice of that

If this is true this will not bother them 2 much as grace up to 5 years can be granted.
-
I think you need 4000 capacity with 1500 seats, and be capable of reaching 5000 with 2000 seats within 2 years
-
Here's the link from the football league website with ground capacity requirements.
http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20100801/appendix-1_2293633_2128158 (http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20100801/appendix-1_2293633_2128158)
4000 with 500 seats when you win promotion
5000 with 1000 seats after 1 season
5000 with 2000 seats after 3 seasons (is that why we had to add the green seats at the York Street end?)

Yes but it must have changed a little as we wasnt under pressure to get the seats in untill season 5.

From today's Brighton Argus:
"Steve Evans has slammed Luton for failing to acknowledge Crawley’s Conference title win.
The Hatters’ players refused to provide the customary guard of honour before Tuesday’s Broadfield clash which finished 1-1.
Evans said: “I did expect the Luton players to give my players a guard of honour but obviously they were told not to do that.
“I know a number of the Luton players personally and I know what was said to them about a guard of honour but I won’t compromise them or embarrass the individuals concerned. It is disappointing to say the least but it won’t change where we are heading next season.
“Luton Town are the giant football club in the Blue Square Bet premier and they should help set the standards. They have the most fantastic supporters and had it been reversed and they were champions they would have expected it from us. The difference is we would have done it.
“I can remember on one occasion I was alongside my (Boston United) players in a guard of honour after Doncaster Rovers were champions. It is only right and respectful.”

Evans just doesn't get it does he. As I said earlier in the season, you have to earn respect not buy it. Despite the clubs success, Crawley will be tainted all the time Bent Evans is the manager."
- - - - -
Nice to see a local expressing the views of the Sussex fans. I seem to remember a similar case some years ago (although I can't remember the clubs involved) where the manager stated: I'm not letting my players cow-tow to that lot. Let 'em beat us first then they might get their bloody guard of honour on the way off.
-
Steve did " the right and respectful thing " for Donny , and the Donny fans still hate him .
-
Grantham were big enough to do it to us after we beat them here too.
Can't remember if Kings Lynn did the same on Easter Monday, I think they did.
Bu respect has to be earned, and Evans will never get anyones respect, its something his 'backers' money can't buy.
-
I thought the Donny fans chased him down the tunnel once!
-
Maybe a brisk walk at a push down the tunnel or a quick waddle, but chase suggests breaking into a run.
-
Maybe Steve Evans is Cartman in disguise - Respect My Authoritay!
