When Jackson left the Chairman said they wanted someone with league experience, then he went for Sutton  ???

Give the job to Horton,he always knows best when on the radio, well in his mind he does  ;D

Yeah, looking at some Lincoln messageboards, a few of their fans have got Scott/Hurst on their shortlists. Granted, that doesn't mean much but they are certainly being mentioned straightaway...............

They both have full time jobs elsewhere, which they'd have to quit to be full time managers at Lincoln.

I think Shitty will go for experience this time, they took a gamble with Sooty and he proved to be out of his depth, even when he gave interviews he sounded like he was pissed off and had no passion so no wonder the team weren't performing ` ;)

I don't like this quote from Linscums chairman  :-\

"We'll probably be looking at someone up-and-coming, maybe from non-league, or alternatively a young but experienced league manager," said Dorrian.

Lets hope that contract gets drawn up and signed to protect us from getting fleeced

Comments from the Imps Chairman over the last 24hrs.

" Chris was considered a success , he took  over a year ago with us 20th in the league , he leaves with us 20th in the league "
"We will aim for mid-table mediocrity "
"we aim to acheive this within four or five years "

Can,t see anything in those comments to entice S & H to work for Mr Dorrigan.

to be honest i dont see many people wanting to inherit a team like lincoln knowing that they are on a "tight budget" and not really able to bring in their own players

One or two comments in todays Echo linking S&H to the Lincoln job.I think it's inevitable that they will move on to bigger and better things eventually, but hopefully they will feel they still have a job to finish here first.Besides Linscum is hardly bigger or better......

As they're contracted to us, the chimps would need our permission to talk to them wouldn't they?

As such, we could presumably simply tell them to do one (ala Arsenal/Frabregas).

it's not a full time contract though, which probably means Lincoln could come in for them.

It would be a big step up for them  ..and they have other jobs any way .
Think they will stay at BUFC  .. they would be difficult to replace !
To go to Lincoln would mean them BOTH  giving up 2 jobs .

Too BIG a job for Brian...

...I'll get my coat

My guess would be Dean Holdsworth, he has done a dood job at Newport County and is a young manager. I don't think S&H would leave a well supported club that's on the up for a team that's treading water.

But that is exactly what Holdsworth would be doing

Maybe a Milliband type contest with Dean contesting with his brother (at Mansfield )for the job.

Well they are the new joint favourites for the Lincoln job:

But DN thinks they will stay...........

Wasn't he linked before Sutton got the job?

RS and PH should tell Lincoln to do one and that we'll give them a wave on the way by.
