I know some fans had been asking if he's still with us and what the prospects were of him rejoining after his injury was healed.

Well today we got the answer: absolutely no chance. He's just been jailed for 18 months.

In other news, Tom Clare is joining Love Island.

It's interesting to note what varied careers our former players go on to. Nicholson is not the first jailbird we've had in the nest. Sad for various reasons, not least for his victims.

Talking of left backs, I see we've just signed one and Starbuck and Lewis have gone.
