He won't have seen us play, he is simply picking his 'contacts/mates' up to give him known players around him.  Seems strange when all you need to do is look at the press/here to see where our issues lay.  I thought I read somewhere else a forward had turned down the 7 day request too?

I for one will be supporting the new management team until told to do otherwise.  ;)  However, I still can't get my head round why we have brought in another artist, before recruiting a much needed soldier.  Especially as Drury told us last Monday evening that goal scoring was not the problem at this time.

Could be a budget call, The top three might be on top wages, bring in a new guy on less money release some others, extra funding for defenders.Just a thought but looking forward to christmas period fresh start and all that.

He won't have seen us play, he is simply picking his 'contacts/mates' up to give him known players around him.

If he's surrounding himself with players that are familiar to him, then he also took Paul Mayo, Ricky Miller and (worryingly) Gary King with him between Corby and Stamford. I wouldn't pick Mayo over Jelleyman and a player who changes clubs as often as Miller isn't what we're looking for in terms of stability. For goodness sake though, don't touch those red boots with a barge pole.

At least the anti-Lee brigade can,t complain , they demanded a manager with "contacts" .  As many of us have seen over the years these moaners will soon be on here complaining of the manager bringing in his "cronies""
Simple financial logic from F Crew , which many don,t grasp .
Was said at forum budget was fully utilised and wheeler dealing was required ,  Should some be cleared out before new ones brought in ?  no , we have 4 maches in 10 days and a sqaud low in numbers .

Oops, I did see it on my phone 1/2 loaded yesterday on Lincs 1G.  I did think it a little strange.

give the lad a chance-- he scored 14 goals last year in this league, more than most of our existing squad.
I will form my view of the new manager in a few weeks, when I have seen the team play, what changes he makes, and who he brings into the squad.

He talks a good story, but we have been there before, I for one do not want us to go back there.

Reasons for bringing Jordon Smith in now before giving present squad their chance, even though we have enough forwards/wingers, must boil down to his being such an exceptional talent who suddenly came available and who the manager doesn't want anyone else to snap up.  Or, he is cheaper than a player he is going to ditch and so free up some cash to bring in someone we really need.
