The B-Ark / Re: Willis and Rollins both sign new contracts.

Willis is a decent keeper. Better than Stewart in my view. He must have been given assurances re number one slot I reckon. Or he wouldn't be staying as number two I don't think. Bringing Stewart in was a waste of money which didn't improve on what the club had. Well done to George on proving the doubters wrong

No way will Derby want Ravas to hav another season at Step 2. He'll be in loan somewhere Conf Prem or abroad next season I reckon. Another season in this league will not help his development. Can't see a lot wrong with either Boston keeper myself but don't think Willis will stay if he gets the offer of a number 1 job elsewhere as Stewart is (I think) contracted next season already

Think Stewart is contracted to Boston next season. Raves recently signed an extension at a Derby. Might be available for loan though, but having had a decent season at Step 2 I'd be surprised if they loaned him into the same level again

Let no one kid no one here. The club has wasted 12 months

No better off than this time last season. Many jumped all over Thomas Clarke Yeomans Robinson Gatter Durrant Marshall Broadhead Hilliard as not good enough

What utter B******s. They were just as good as this lot and on a lot less dollar. The revolving door continues to revolve. Another season wasted. False expectation of play off, what ifs, buts, maybes. Reality is it's a mid table Conf North side and a mid table Conf North club at the minute

It's £15 or £13 at Boston isn't it? So about the same. Don't understand the point

Which keeper would people keep if it was a choice of just one?

Personally I think Willis

Don't begrudge Brackley success. They're a well run club and nice people. Ferriby won the trophy. Good on em too. No one vpcan take this away from them. That's 'the point'. Don't be jealous  of others peoples success. It's a poor trait

The manager admitted in his interview that he didn't go to Stockport to try and win the game

That admission is startling. He doesn't think his team is good enough to even try to win

Just sums up where the once great club currently sits

Lack of ambition when there is nothing to lose. Very disappointing and negative. Only one way someone with that approach will take the club

There's a massive difference between the NPL and this league. Nothing wrong with Willis. Experience at this level which current gk isn't I don't think. Mind you, there was not not much wrong with Durrant and money was paid to bring Willis in to replace him. Folks my old game. One things for sure, current side is in just as much danger of relegation at this stage as the lot who were written off as not good enough by many this time last season

Big difference is the wage bill is now much much higher and the club is no further forward

This time last season it was going well before a poor last month

Murray let the likes of Clarke Hilliard Thomas Maguire Burgess Marshall Gordon Durrant etc etc go. All of whom had done pretty well in turning it round

From then on it all imploded for him and I don't think things are very much better than it was then. Wage bill is no doubt much higher though. A wasted season in my view. Promised much and delivered next to nothing

Change for the change of change rarely works. It's a big jump to NLN from NPL as the Shaw Lane lads are showing. The current keeper is no better than the one before (who cost a fee)  and he was was no better than the one before him

But give the manager time. Next objective has to be to finish strongly then start next season we'll. this is a strong league though. A reality check is needed. Boston are a mid table side. No more than that. Play offs are millions of miles away. Just like they were 12 months ago

Only downside was a few daft lads letting the club down at the end. Banging on the boardroom window, swearing and shouting with women present

Not the kind of behaviour that should be associated with a great club like Boston. No doubt fuelled by good drink but try to behave properly please lads. It's letting the club down

Otherwise a good day out for Boston! Well played indeed

Grantham's budget isn't small. Not massive but not small. They have lads on 300 a week. Not many but some. And contracted too

Re Willis - couldn't understand the signing. Will be on big money too. And as for paying money for him- bizarre. And Hare too. Paid money and then never played him. Flawed signings that helped seal his fate. Before we even discuss 'best midfielder in the league'. AM has much to answer for

On another note - heard a strong whisper last week linking Greene with NFU. But that's all it was. Chris Bolder new man in charge there

Many knocked last season's post Xmas squad. I thought they did well to keep the club up

The current expensively assembled squad are no better. Probably worse. The wage bill is massively increased. Fees have been paid for the likes of Willis and Hare plus others

Currently second from bottom. No sign of a 'new manager bounce' either is there? Many of these players are robbing a good living from the club

Last season they were not the most talented bunch but gave their best. Would Gordon, Thomas, Batchelor, Maguire, Durrant, Marshall, Gatter, St Juste etc be second from bottom?

We'll never know. But they'd cost half as much and give twice as much effort in my view. The lads on the big deals are largely tossing it off and will more than likely bring the manager down eventually whilst mostly remaining at the club after they have done so. The players need to take long hard looks at themselves

Many slagged off last seasons defence. Has the revolving door policy of defenders improved on the likes of Batchelor Thomas Robinson Gordon Durrant Brown etc? Current crop certainly picking up miles more £££££ than the aforementioned
