Further to my other thread re: National Football Museum, those coming up to Droylsden might also be interested in taking in the 'Barclays Premier League Trophy Tour' which is visiting Albert Square in Manchester City Centre this week (16 -19 August). I'm making a visit with some work colleagues later today.

Check the website for more details:-

I will probably be next door in the Oyster Bar, fantastic pub...

What are the train details - times and cost?

If you split your ticket Boston-Nottingham then Nottingham -Manchester Day return works out the cheapest..

Looking forward to it, few of us on the train, Droylsden was alright last year (pub wise). Hopefully weather is the same as last year for when we switch ends!

This seemed to slip off the radar a bit

Hope this isnt true, shameful behaviour. And rightly should be banned from the club if this is true

The B-Ark / Programme Help
« on: March 01, 2012, 04:28:29 PM »
Hi all.

I am looking for a Boston vs Buxton home Programme 93/94 season 23rd April 1994. Reason being it was my first ever Boston match, looking for one so I can frame etc.

Cant actually remember a lot about the match (being aged 7) except it was torrential rain and we were 2 nil down... And now the scorers after looking at Ken's excellent site!

Any help much appreciated.

Regards

Chris

Our number eight was sat on the bench at the time, or do they "all look the same" to you?

Your defender had no intention of touching the ball. put himself in harms way and deserved to feel the force of the tackle.
I can now see why you are so popular on the NL forum, I have never seen such drivel been typed.

So in tigerroar world if he had broke his leg he deserved it?

It wouldn't have broken a leg because there was little or no contact from Wilson, there may have been between the keeper and defender though. The defender had no need to put himself in there.
Really no contact. Ok mate.  :dan

I think 1100 were there in total (rounded up figure) around 250 Boston i would have said, as we were rather spread out as usual !
I'd have estimated our percentage as nearer 150. There where around 100-120 behind the goal first half, second half around 50-60 stayed put and the rest went behind the opposite goal. There where quite a few dotted in the seats and down the side with the wooden statue but I'd have only put this around 30. Absolute max. of 180 allowing for a bit of underestimating.

I will take your word for it. You were a lot more sober than me  8)
